At JW House Improvements we recognise that individuals have varying needs, therefore we can design and build your Garden Office, Work Studio, Playhouse, Workshop or even a shed to your design.

As established garden building installers we are able to bring a wealth of knowledge and unique design style to any studio / garden room - whatever the size.

Workshops:

A place for woodworking, renovating your classic car or bike, or just a hideaway to store your tools. If you are looking for a solid timber, practical, attractive, single garage, double garage or garden workshop, that is value for money and built to last, then look no further.

Sheds:

A storage area for all your garden tools, mowers, garden furniture or bikes. Stored in a bespoke shed made to your design.

Garden Office / Studio:

A place to work in peace and quiteand leave your paperwork as you want and find it still in the same place. Maybe somewhere to hide from the kids for a while. A TV room perhaps or a place for watching the football.

Playhouse:

Somewhere for the kids to play safe or even somewhere for the teenagers to play tabletennis or just for a meeting room to watch TV or play music.



Construction:

Our timber frame buildings are constructed of high quality materials to create a strong and hardwearing building.

Walls.

The walls are constructed using 50mm x 75mm treated FSC Ttimbers. The exterior is covered with a waterproof breathable membrane and then covered in 6mm external grade ply and then faced with either an high quality pressure treated feather edge cladding or an hardwood covering.

Insulation.

All the walls are insulated which will keep your timber frame building warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

Roof.

The roof framework is full insulated and covered with a waterproof breathable membrane. itb is then boarded with 18mm OSB roofing board, underfelted and then covered with either roof tiles or felted.

Windows & Doors.

We incorporate housing quality, double glazed windows and doors in either timber or upvc with all necassary security locks.

Base.

All our timber frame buildings are seated on 75mm x 75mm timber bearers. The bearers sit on a concrete base which is 125mm deep which is laid on 75mm of compacted hardcore.
